StrikerX is the latest generation of AML’s American-made Android® mobile computers, with all the same great features and utilities as the original Striker, but with some significant upgrades. The combination of these attributes makes StrikerX the ideal android mobile computer for barcode scanning in a wide variety of applications ranging from distribution, manufacturing, retail, and commercial deployments.
Regardless if the task at hand is in a heavy-duty industrial environment like a manufacturing plant, or the relatively docile surroundings of a retail store, Striker will excel in both. It has the durability and ruggedness required by “heavy hands” and tough surroundings, while still being light, compact and comfortable for back-office and retail store floor applications.
At the heart of StrikerX is the Qualcomm QCS6490, an octa-core processor capable of speeds up to 2.7GHz. Backed with 4GB of Dynamic RAM and 64GB of flash memory, there is no shortage of power. Even the most demanding, resource-hungry software applications are no match for the StrikerX with the QCS6490 processor. The QCS6490 is considered a “premium tier” component slated for production through 2036.
StrikerX supports the current Wi-Fi standards, including Wi-Fi 6E. It will connect to any legacy 802.11 a/b/g/n/ax network but can also connect to Wi-Fi networks that have been upgraded to Wi-Fi 6E. The latest Wi-Fi 6E standard adds the 6GHz band, which offers more than double the bandwidth of the 5GHz band. The bottom line is that StrikerX will deliver solid performance on existing Wi-Fi networks and will continue to operate as networks are upgraded in the coming years. StrikerX offers the ultimate in “future proofing”.
StrikerX can be fitted with different integrated barcode scanners to meet specific application requirements. Whether the bulk of the scanning is done inches away or 40 feet away, StrikerX has a solution. Even the most demanding scanning environments can be tackled with ease thanks to the compact size and light weight of StrikerX. For even more comfort, add the optional pistol-grip handle when scanning is steady and consistent.
StrikerX comes preloaded with a host of software utilities designed to ease the load of IT admins and make supporting mobile devices the least of their worries. Many of these come preloaded and license-free, while others are optional with a paid subscription.
StrikerX is the ideal mobile computing solution for a wide range of commercial applications including manufacturing, distribution, retail, and healthcare. With advanced ergonomics, a broad assortment of software apps and utilities, unparalleled processing power that is unmatched in the industry, and competitive pricing, the American-Made StrikerX is leading the way.
Every retail operation, big or small, needs reliable inventory management and it starts at the receiving dock or the back door.
Track raw materials, assemblies and finished goods through the manufacturing process. Know what you have and at what stage in the manufacturing process it is.
From Receiving to Shipping, barcode data capture allows supply chain professions to know what inventory they have and where to find it.
Terminal emulation over Telnet is still a reliable and efficient method of communicating with mobile devices, requiring less bandwidth on the network and fewer resources on the handheld. The Striker is preloaded with a Glink VT220 license. The Striker is also compatible with other terminal emulation software including Velocity and StayLinked.

AML products are warranted against defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one year from the date of purchase. The obligation of AML under the Standard Factory Warranty is limited to furnishing labor and materials necessary to return the product to its normal operating condition, or to replace the unit, at AML’s discretion, and only on a “to factory” basis. This limited warranty does not extend to any product which has been modified, misused, abused, or incorrectly installed.
An Extended Warranty Plus may be purchased for eligible products, as denoted on the product warranty chart below. An Extended Warranty Plus REPLACES the standard limited warranty, and provides for the following additional benefits.
The Extended Warranty Plus may be purchased anytime during the term of the standard limited warranty. The Extended Warranty Plus is not an extension of the standard warranty, but instead replaces it. The start date of the Extended Warranty Plus is the start date of the original warranty. Note that the Extended Warranty Plus does not cover products that have been subjected to improper installation, or that have been modified or used for purposes other than what they were intended.
Today’s consumer devices are typically only supported for 2-3 years from date of release. While the typical life expectancy for industrial equipment is 5+ years, AML historically exceeds this mark substantially, although no guaranteed life span is made or implied due to the litany of outside factors that can impact a product’s life cycle. At a minimum, AML is committed to maintaining the Striker’s OS firmware for as long as the product is kept in production. This includes periodic updates for critical CVEs (Common Vulnerability and Exposures) that are applicable per the Android Security Bulletins. AML also extends that support beyond Android’s updates if their support ends early by manually patching critical vulnerabilities as necessary.
