The AML Phoenix is a full-featured, general purpose mini kiosk with a wide variety of application possibilities. This small kiosk is powered by Windows© Embedded CE 6.0 Pro, and features a number of user input/output options, the Phoenix is perfect for a contemporary time-and-attendance terminal, a retail price-checking kiosk, an access control device, or a general purpose kiosk designed to put information at the fingertips of the user.
The Phoenix self-service kiosk is the ideal small kiosk that can be used to scan ID badges or even barcodes directly from your phone. This quick and simple contactless process can be used to replace the unsanitary touch-based nature of fingerprint readers and keypad entry.
Use barcodes to track the movement of tools, equipment documents or any other valuable asset. Check them out when they leave their repository, then back in when they are returned. Know who took possession of the item and when.
Self-service applications are becoming a fact of everyday life. Kiosks provide a better customer experience with the ability to check the price of an item more conveniently than tracking down a store associate. In some states, retail stores are required to use kiosk devices that are compliant with item pricing laws.
Manage access to sensitive areas and maintain security by requiring badges or codes for entry.

AML products are warranted against defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one year from the date of purchase. The obligation of AML under the Standard Factory Warranty is limited to furnishing labor and materials necessary to return the product to its normal operating condition, or to replace the unit, at AML’s discretion, and only on a “to factory” basis. This limited warranty does not extend to any product which has been modified, misused, abused, or incorrectly installed.
An Extended Warranty Plus may be purchased for eligible products, as denoted on the product warranty chart below. An Extended Warranty Plus REPLACES the standard limited warranty, and provides for the following additional benefits.
The Extended Warranty Plus may be purchased anytime during the term of the standard limited warranty. The Extended Warranty Plus is not an extension of the standard warranty, but instead replaces it. The start date of the Extended Warranty Plus is the start date of the original warranty. Note that the Extended Warranty Plus does not cover products that have been subjected to improper installation, or that have been modified or used for purposes other than what they were intended.
Today’s consumer devices are typically only supported for 2-3 years from date of release. While the typical life expectancy for industrial equipment is 5+ years, AML historically exceeds this mark substantially, although no guaranteed life span is made or implied due to the litany of outside factors that can impact a product’s life cycle. At a minimum, AML is committed to maintaining the Striker’s OS firmware for as long as the product is kept in production. This includes periodic updates for critical CVEs (Common Vulnerability and Exposures) that are applicable per the Android Security Bulletins. AML also extends that support beyond Android’s updates if their support ends early by manually patching critical vulnerabilities as necessary.
