Safer Disinfection

UV disinfection cabinets have been around long before the COVID-19 pandemic, predominantly used in medical environments such as hospitals and frequently visited doctor’s offices. You can even find smaller UV disinfection cabinets in nail salons and spas for cleaning tools. Traditionally these disinfection cabinets are made using glass bulbs that have a limited life span, are easily breakable, and contain mercury. UV Locker utilizes new UVC LED technology with a much longer life span and doesn’t contain mercury. According to numerous scientific studies UVC LEDs are comparably effective at killing bacteria and inactivating viruses but are safer and longer-lasting.

How it Works

Simply insert your devices such as mobile computers, tablets, and tools inside the UV Locker™ to perform a disinfection cycle. Use the supplied dosimeter card to verify efficacy. UV Locker disinfects in as little as one minute.* *Disinfection time varies depending on the targeted microorganism. Not a medical device. Does not treat or prevent diseases.

UV Locker's Size and Durability

You’ll find a variety of different sized UV sterilization cabinets on the market today. These include large and higher-priced systems that meet medical-grade standards as well as smaller cabinets for sterilizing tools in dentist offices and spas. UV Locker’s size sits right in the middle, large enough for hand tools or mobile computers that get shared in a warehouse, but small enough to fit on a table in your tool crib room, evidence room, or even a classroom. UV Locker can be used for a variety of applications where people are sharing equipment and tools throughout the day. UV Locker’s powder-coated steel frame makes this device ideal for more rugged environments.

Lab Test Results

UV Locker was independently tested by an accredited microbiological laboratory facility. The independent laboratory test report by TTI Labs shows UV Locker kills 99.9999% of tested bacteria and inactivates 99.99999999% of the SARS-CoV virus*

FAQ

A wide variety of objects can be sanitized, so as long as they are not made of photo-sensitive materials (i.e. photography film). If it fits, you can sanitize it.

  • Avoid overloading the UV Locker with too many objects at one time.
  • Ensure objects are placed and spaced in a manner that the maximum surface area of the objects will be exposed to the top or bottom UV LEDs.

Absolutely, UV Locker is chemical-free and ozone-free.

Yes, the window is made of UV filtering material, blocking 100% of the harmful UV rays. Do not tamper with or purposely defeat the safety interlock that prevents the system from operating if the door is not fully closed.

When the disinfection cycle is on, you might hear a slight humming noise. This is normal. UV Locker features a ventilation fan that helps vent the disinfection chamber and maintains room temperature. Note: the fan will continue to run for 10 seconds after the disinfection cycle ends.

When the disinfection cycle is on, blue top LED lights are on. This is simply for visual indication the system is currently disinfecting. The blue LEDs themselves do not have a disinfection effect.

When the disinfection cycle is on, you might notice a slight purple glow at each of the UV LEDs. This is normal, it is a by-product of the UV generation process at the LED.

Use the UVC LED Dosimeter card to verify performance.

An independent lab test conducted by TTI labs published the results below. A 99.9999% reduction (Log6) on bacterial colonies was achieved in as little as 2 minutes; and a 99.99999999% (Log10) deactivation was achieved in 8 minutes on SARS-CoV.* For reference, a 99.9% (Log3) sanitation level is a common sanitation level, and 99.9999% (Log6) is considered professional-grade.Longer exposure time results in higher levels. *Results may vary

The use of the key lock is optional. The door is held shut magnetically. The key lock serves as a “deadbolt” should you choose to securely lock the contents inside the UV Locker. If you lose the key, no worries! Keys are numbered and can be easily replaced. Contact us.
