Creating Scripts for Screen and Field Events

Understanding Scripts will not be required for most programs. However sometimes, you may need to keep a count or do some arithmetic. Or maybe you want to make an audible noice or for the program to pause until the user presses a key. That is where Scripting comes in.

Scripts can be used to perform custom processing when screens are loaded or hidden, or when fields are entered or exited.
