An M5900 application uses 2 types of data files.

The Capture File
The Lookup File

The Capture File captures data typed or scanned into a field by a user.

When retrieving the Program's data from the M5900, the designer will convert the Capture File into the final Comma Seperated Value (CSV) file.

The Lookup File is read-only data that helps the display or helps process the Capture file.

For instance, a Lookup File may contain the Product Descriptions for each your Products or it may contain the old QTY from from a prior inventory count.
