Running your Program

To run your program:

Make sure your M5900 is powered on

From the M5900 Device Menu (hit Menu key if not already there) select Run Program

Within this submenu, if a program is already running, it will show up as the first entry in the list

Select the Program you want to run from the list

If another program was already running, you will be asked if you want to stop the currently running program.

Hit ESC until you are out of the menu to return to the currently running program, if you like
If you stop the program, data captured prior to the display of the current screen will still be accessable, simply run the program again and use FUNC-UP to return to the prior record and the prior screen.

Then, if the program captures any data, you will be asked if you want to Append to the current data or Clear the data file

If you choose Append then all new data will be posted at the end of the Capture File after any previous data that was captured
If you choose Clear then all previous data will be removed from the Capture File and the progam will start anew as if freshly sent to your M5900
Each time a program is sent to the M5900, its Capture File will be cleared.
You can set your device to always Append, Clear, or Ask whenever you run a programin the Program Settings submenu of the Settings Menu on you M5900

The specifics of the program being run were chosen by the programmer. However there are some built-in features:

Hit F1 to show the Functions Menu

Show Key Bindings
Search for Record in Capture File
Goto Next Record
Goto Prev Record
Goto First Record
Goto Last Record

Note: the position of the next "New" record is the record after the last record. Hitting F8 will also take you back to that position

F7 Delete Record

Function Arrow Keys

Func-Arrow Up Move to previous record in Capture file
Func-Arrow Down Move to next record in Capture file
Func-Arrow Left Move to first record in Capture file
Func-Arrow Right Move to last record in Capture file

You can goto the next new record in the Capture file either by hitting F8, insert new record or by hitting Func-Arrow Right, Func-Arrow Down, locate one beyond last record

When you are finished inputing data, we can continue on to the next and final step, Retrieving your Data from the M5900
